Keep reading below for the original press release and background information:

RICHMOND, VA - The Kerry-Edwards campaign in Virginia announced that John
Edwards will visit the state this Saturday, the fifth visit of the
Kerry-Edwards campaign since Memorial Day (John Kerry visited Portsmouth,
Alexandria, Arlington, and Norfolk).

John Edwards visit will focus on the economy and the squeeze being felt by
middle-class families.

Last week John Kerry spoke of the squeeze that middle-class families are
facing. "I will be a president who stands with the middle class and stands
for fairness," Kerry said. "John Edwards and I believe it's time America had
tax cuts that work for all Americans. We believe it's time we had tax cuts
that help create good-paying jobs - right here in America. And, after four
years of shifting the tax burden from those with the most to those most
struggling to make ends meet, we believe it's time that America's tax code
reflected America's moral code."

Middle-class families are being squeezed in the Bush economy. Rising costs
like health care and education combined with declining wages have made it
increasingly difficult for families to save and get ahead. Unfortunately,
all George Bush has offered is tax breaks for the wealthy, even floating the
idea of a national sales tax - a move that would result in an additional tax
on the middle class.

The announcement of the visit comes just a day after Zogby International
announced that it now considers Virginia to be a battleground state and will
begin tracking polls within the state.

Last week the campaign officially opened their Richmond headquarters and a
Northern Virginia regional office to overwhelming support and energy from
local Virginians.
